Is there anywhere on earth more beautiful than Manitoba? With its vast forests, cascading mountains, and crisp, stunning weather, there's truly no place like it. But why just view it from your front yard? Get out there and explore some of the best scenic areas that Manitoba has to offer! If you're a dedicated camping enthusiast, then we've got some campground ideas for you to check out.

Grand Beach Provincial Park

Not everyone thinks of beaches when they think of Manitoba, but if you know where to look, you can find some warm (maybe not this time of year), sandy shores on the banks of Lake Winnipeg, Canada's sixth-largest lake. Take your family there to build a sandcastle, stroll along the cool waters, and even enjoy some water sports activities. The park features hiking, an outdoor amphitheater, a restaurant, concession services, and wheelchair access to the beach, plus so much more. It's a great community to vacation in, so inquire about campsites to extend your stay there.

Riding Mountain National Park

Riding Mountain National Park is a province favourite for both Manitoba natives and those abroad. It offers a little something for everyone, whether you're interested in hiking and biking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling, or swimming and boating. You can get away to the quiet outdoors or drive a short distance to more populated areas with modern entertainment and dining. There are also a variety of camping options, including RV hookups, tent sites, spruced up cabins with USB plugs and electric heat, rentable tiny homes, and yurts. Take your pick!

Bakers Narrows

Traveling much farther north, close to the city of Flin Flon, you'll find Bakers Narrows Lodge, a fishing haven for the most dedicated enthusiasts and simply a great way to relax in the heart of the frontier. Book space at the cottages offered by the lodge, or check out the Bakers Narrows campground if tent camping is more your scene. When you're not out fishing, enjoy some great hiking, boating, or simply bring your camera for some of the most beautiful shots you can take.

Paint Lake

In the middle of the province, you'll find Paint Lake, a picturesque natural wonder and Manitoba's largest marina. You can choose to stay at the Paint Lake Lodge or the Paint Lake Provincial Park Campground. Enjoy a relaxing day on the water, filled with fishing and nature watching. There are also several playgrounds, beaches, and more. Make sure to bring all your favourite outdoor supplies so you can enjoy an unforgettable experience near and on Paint Lake.

Spruce Woods Provincial Park

Bringing our journey back just a little closer to home, you'll definitely want to check out Spruce Woods Provincial Park. Sure, you could make it a day trip, or you could stay at one of the many campgrounds in the area that cater to backcountry enthusiasts, those who need something a little more comfortable, and there's even an equestrian campground for all our horseback riding enthusiasts. Explore the many trails near you, discover new plants and animals, and experience a range of environments, from sand dunes to prairies. You might even spot Manitoba's only native lizard species, the northern prairie skink.

There are so many wonderful camping sites to visit throughout Manitoba that you'll probably have trouble visiting them all. These are just some of our favourites!
